Don’t Judge people who don’t use condoms!

Three months back, my friend was narrating a story about his friend who made his girlfriend pregnant. He was scolding the man as well as the woman for having unprotected sex and I was like what does he know. There is reason or at least an experiment behind my thought. This hot experiment was conducted on college men by Dan Ariely and his assistant Mike at MIT media lab.

The experiment is of two phase. In the first phase, participants were given a computer and asked to imagine themselves as sexually aroused and answer the questions. Some of the questions were “Can you imagine being attracted to a 12-year-old girl / 60-year-old woman?”, “Would you slip a drug to a woman in order to have sex with you?”, “Would you always use condom?”. Answers were collected and participants were given $10 for participating.

After few days, next phase of the experiment was conducted in which the participants were given a computer which was covered with saran wrap, you will know why😜. This time students were asked to answer the same set of questions but this time while they were sexually aroused and masturbating but before ejaculating. By now, as you would have guessed that there were many discrepancies between the answers participant gave while they were sexually aroused and while they were in the normal state. Many answered they would be attracted to 12-year-old or 60-year-old woman in the aroused state but not in the normal state. Also, they answered in sexually aroused state that they would not use condoms in order to get more sexual satisfaction.

This experiment tells us how we know very little about ourselves. In future, if you ever heard about these type of stories, think twice before making a judgement.
