What happens in your body when you fall in love?

 - காதல் ஒன்னியும் கடவுள் இல்லையடா  இந்த இழவு எல்லாம்  Hormone செய்யும் கலகம் தானடா - Vairamuthu Hormones:      Men naturally have 10 to 20 times more testosterone than women. Testosterone was responsible for the sex drive. That is one of the reasons why men are hornier and it is the backbone of the multimillion-dollar porn industry. Before some women consider men to be perverts, we, men, have our own explanation. We have the purpose of replicating the DNA and make sure that our species survives. On the other hand, women have significantly higher oxytocin than men. When oxytocin or “cuddling hormone” is released, it gives the sense of belonging and safety.      David Buss, professor at the University of Texas, found from his studies that when the couples are in so called “love phase”, men’s testosterone decreases and women’s testosterone level increases. That is why men are so sweet in the beginning of the relationship. However, the hormo...

Why 8am classes should be avoided?

I have successfully completed the hostel life of 9 years. One of the things that were common in all those years was early morning classes. During my school days, my classes would start at 6am. As a student, we always hated to attend the early morning as long as our crush was not in our class except a few.  As data is becoming our religion, I am present the data that I collected from the book “Why we sleep”. In Minnesota, one of the schools shifted the starting time of the school to 8:30am (I still consider this early, at least for me) from 7:25am and the results are as                          o Verbal SAT score increased to 761 from 605.                          o Math SAT score increased to 739 from 683. There was also reduction in the traffic accidents among drivers who were between 16 and 18 years of age (This happened...

How to stop your institute from using proctoring tool?

One of the changes that we are experiencing now after this pandemic is almost everything has become online including writing the exam. As usual, some students are happier about that and some of them are not. Educational institutions are spending huge amount of money to prevent them from cheating. I sometimes believe that major change can be brought by making a very small change. Can a very small change be used to prevent students from cheating? I believe it can be done by adding just one more question to the question paper. Dan Ariely, Professor at Duke University, conducted an experiment in which he divided the participants into three groups. The participants were asked to solve the questions within 5 minutes. At the end of the test, first group would submit the answer sheet and get $10 for each question answered correctly. First group answered around 3.1 questions correctly on average. Second group were asked to recall 10 books they have read before taking...
