Hormones:

    Men naturally have 10 to 20 times more testosterone than women. Testosterone was responsible for the sex drive. That is one of the reasons why men are hornier and it is the backbone of the multimillion-dollar porn industry. Before some women consider men to be perverts, we, men, have our own explanation. We have the purpose of replicating the DNA and make sure that our species survives. On the other hand, women have significantly higher oxytocin than men. When oxytocin or “cuddling hormone” is released, it gives the sense of belonging and safety.

    David Buss, professor at the University of Texas, found from his studies that when the couples are in so called “love phase”, men’s testosterone decreases and women’s testosterone level increases. That is why men are so sweet in the beginning of the relationship. However, the hormones will come to the default level after 3 to 9 months into the relationship.

    Men having just casual chat with female stranger may boost his testosterone by 33%, one study concluded. I know it is shocking for me too.

    When you are madly in love, the same region in your brain is activated as the region activated while using cocaine. This is the same region which gets activated, when a mother look at her babies. Next time, when you are in doubt about whether you are in love or not, just go for fMRI scan.

It is all in the eyes:

All the things that I have said happens inside our body that we may have no clue about. But eyes can also convey something about our attraction to opposite gender which we may encounter, given advanced technology.

Eckhard Hess, who worked in the University of Chicago, found that when a person is shown the photograph of an attractive opposite gender, their pupil dilated three times larger. When you have a crush or love on someone, your pupil will get dilated while seeing that person. Your pupil clearly send the signal to whom you are attracted unknowingly.

If a manager wants to increase the sales, put up an image of the model whose pupil were dilated which can really boost up the sales. Revlon boosted their lipstick sales by 45% by putting the image of the pupil dilated model.
